The Great Escape: Songs from the Hungarian Hillside 2006 – 2007  TRT 5:30 Three channel video projection on three separate walls The Great Escape was shot in Tihany, Hungary September 2006 over the course of one week on a residency program.  The residency was supposed to be two weeks but I escaped one week earlier, hence the title. It can be seen as a competition between the finer classical arts represented by the classical piano player on the left and contemporary abject body art represented by myself on the right as we both vie for attention of the viewer representing different art forms. Taking its roots in abjection and body art,  my performance with whipped cream can be seen as a mockumentary on performance art using whipped cream that is sickly sweet to emphasize the tactile and overpoweringness of something so sweet it can make you sick.
